Aloha my name is Kumu Pa'a Jaye Seal. I reside in Cairns Australia, I am fortunate to be living on the djabuguy lands. My background is: I trained as a Yoga Teacher in 2004, soon after I began to travel all over the world with the purpose to learn and grow from teachers that I could not access in Australia. In 2007 I learnt Hawaiian bodywork and sought out for more learning. In 2012 I heard Kumu Lawrence Aki was coming to Australia. I had a session with him in March, it was identified that I needed a spiritual teacher. By June I was in Halawa Valley Molokai where my learning with Kumu began. I continued to return to Hawaii and travel with Kumu in Australia to learn over the years. In 2015 in Molokai I met my partner Jordan, after I birthed our son, Koa it was clear I was ready to commit to Kumu and the teachings. In 2018 I became a haumana (life long student). As I lived my life by the teachings, I was gradually building my foundation. In 2021 I uniki'ed (graduated) to a Kumu Pa'a (Teacher of Foundation). It is now my responsibility to perpetuate and preserve the teachings. When I visualise this I see the old folk taro farmers in Halawa. I feel humbled and carry the teachings with deep appreciation for all that is and the way of the ancestors.
My purpose is to assist people to Return to Joy, this is accessible through my offerings. Take your time read through and most of all reach out to connect. Mahalo-Thank you again.

Halau Pule O ' o
The Place of Powerful Prayers
This school has been born from the lineage of 50 Generations from the valley of Halawa, Molokai, Hawaii. Molokai Pule O'o - The place of powerful prayers. There is a mo'olelo that speaks of the kahuna's of Molokai that were known to be so powerful that they deterred others (Papa's warriors) in coming to Molokai as they stood waiting for them. They did not run. They stood together as a silent army. No fist was raised. When the warriors began to beach their boats the chanting began. It began small and became a mighty roar. The warriors threw their spears but they fell short of hitting anyone. Men trying to come onto the beach were falling back into the surf choking, unable to breathe. They did not invade Molokai at this time. And so it was named and became known as Molokai Pule O'o, The place of powerful prayers. In this school's name Halau Pule O'o, This place that we speak of connects us all the way from Halawa Valley, Molokai to this Halau (school) in Mareeba, Australia. A special mahalo to my teacher Kumu Nui Lawrence Aki, the Mana O Molokai Ohana and the way of the ancestors, I love you.
